Bailey’s Coat

The idea to create some dog coats come from the need to test producing a garment from a pattern created by myself. I was looking to start with something simple, but not so simple as a square shape. The dog coat gave me the opportunity to test something simple but with some shape and embellishments.

The “pilot” was a coat made for a very handsome Golden Retriever that was still a puppy at the time (what until you see what kind of “puppy” I’m talking about…) so there was some allowance for it to fit in the near future. The outside of the garment is this warm tartan fabric:

The inside is this cosy fleece (he is such a spoiled dog):

Here is Bailey (I told you!)

Oh and of course… it came in timely as a Christmas gift for a very special Golden Retriever!
